Founded on Quality Over Quantity
Vandenberg Construction was founded by Ryan Vandenberg, a finish carpenter with over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial construction across Northern Idaho. Ryan started his career in finish carpentry — the work that requires the most precision, the most patience, and the most pride in the final result.
He founded Vandenberg Construction because the construction market had let quantity take over at the expense of quality. Too many contractors were rushing through jobs, handing work to unvetted subs, and leaving homeowners with results that looked fine at first glance but failed within years. Ryan built this company specifically to be the alternative.
How We Work
Every Vandenberg Construction project starts with a design consultation. For most projects, that includes 3D renderings so you see your finished project before we break ground. You know exactly what you're getting, exactly what it costs, and exactly when it will be done — before construction starts.
Ryan is personally involved in every project from your initial inquiry through final walkthrough. You're not handed off to a project manager who's never met you. The owner is on your project.
Our Subcontractor Standard
We hold every subcontractor to the same standard we hold ourselves. Every electrical, plumbing, and HVAC sub we use is licensed and vetted. If their work doesn't meet our bar, it gets redone before the next phase begins. We don't hide behind subcontractor quality problems — if it's on our job site, it's our responsibility.
Service Area
Vandenberg Construction is based in St. Maries, Idaho and serves communities throughout the Idaho Panhandle including Coeur d'Alene, Kellogg, Harrison, Pinehurst, Plummer, Tensed, and Calder. We serve both Benewah and Shoshone counties, and take on projects in Kootenai County for the right scope.
Licensed & Insured
Vandenberg Construction is fully licensed and insured for residential and commercial contracting in the State of Idaho. All required permits are managed by Vandenberg Construction. We don't build without permits, and we don't let our subs skip inspections.
